Final day of painting!

Step 1

HELLO, we know it’s still early but... GOOD MORNING!

We typically get our day started at 8am (the early bird gets the worm!) but we’re happy to show up whenever fits your schedule best. When our team arrives, they will park on the street, introduce themselves, TAKE OFF THEIR SHOES, organize all paint / equipment into one small area (of your choice) and discuss/review: What areas are to be painted, a detailed colour map outline and any other important or special details about your project.

Step 2

Covering & Protecting your important items!

If you’d like our assistance with removing any of your important items from the painting area (family photos, your great grandmothers’ ashes, expensive art pieces etc.) we’re happy to lend you a careful hand! Once your beloved items have all been safely removed from the area… we’ll lay down drop cloths to protect your floors and we’ll cover any remaining furniture or fixtures with a thin layer of protective plastic.

Step 3

PREPARATION - This is the most important part!

We start with filling any holes or imperfections on your walls by applying spackling. We then remove any excess, and spot prime the area to prevent it from being visible after the finish coats of paint are applied. (Painters know this as, ‘flashing’). We scuff sand your wall surfaces in-between each coat of paint so what you’re left with are nice, smooth walls and each layer of paint having good adhesion to the next, or a proper ‘hold.’

Step 4

Crack those cans open, it’s time to paint!

We start with painting crisp lines by, ‘cutting-in’ with a brush along the ceiling, down the corners, along the baseboards and around any window or door frames. We then ‘roll’ paint onto the flat wall surface making sure to have a good amount of overlap across our, ‘cutting-in’ brush lines.

Step 5

Daily Progress Updates

We’ll reach out to say HELLO! at the end of each day and keep you in the loop! (Either in person on site or with an update via text/email). These detailed ‘daily’ progress updates allow you to stay right there with us through each stage of your project. We’ll let you know what was accomplished today, what time we’ll be arriving tomorrow and which areas we’ll be taking care of.

Step 6

The party’s almost over, it’s the FINAL day of painting!

Even though we’ve kept in constant communication throughout your project, we NEVER assume your job is finished before allowing you to walk around the space with us for a final inspection. Once you’re happy with the level of service we’ve provided, we begin to pack up all our equipment. When you confirm you’re satisfied and the property looks just as it did prior to our arrival, we’ll then ask you for a final payment. Prior to our departure we’ll be sure to leave you with any leftover paint, making sure that it’s ‘marked’ well for future touch ups if needed.
